Why your Google listing matters in Buffalo

When someone searches "web design near me" or "dentist Buffalo NY", Google shows a map with three businesses before the regular results. Those spots come from Google Business Profiles. For many Buffalo businesses, that listing gets more views than the website itself.

Get the basics exactly right

Google trusts consistent information. Your business name, phone number and address (or service area) should match your website and other listings word for word.

• Use your real business name, with no added keywords
• Pick the most accurate primary category, then a few secondary ones
• If you visit customers, set service areas like Buffalo, Cheektowaga, Amherst and Tonawanda
• Add accurate hours, including holiday hours
• Link to the best page on your website, not just the homepage when a service page fits better

Reviews and photos

Ask happy customers for a Google review right after a job, and reply to every review, good or bad, in a calm, helpful tone. Add real photos of your work, team and location every month or two. Stock photos don't help.

Your website still does the heavy lifting

Your listing sends people to your website, and Google looks at that website too. A fast, mobile-friendly site with a clear Buffalo service page, your phone number and local schema backs up everything your profile says.
